Directual now supports Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) and configurable proxies for the HTTP request step, making the platform even more flexible. We've updated the look of our website and added new sections, a no-code academy, real-world case studies, and more.
Good news, everyone!
The year has barely begun, and we already have something exciting to show you. We have two new features you have all been waiting for and a new website packed with helpful information.
So, without further ado, let's crack straight into it!
Amazon S3 plugin
What is Amazon S3, and how does it work? Simply put, Amazon S3 is a virtual storage system accessible from anywhere with Internet access, where users can configure storage based on their needs and prioritize objects.
Its uniqueness lies in its ability to store massive amounts of data in its original format without hierarchy and breakdown into separate directories.
Based on user requirements, Amazon S3 categorizes data into the following classes:
S3 Standard. For classic cloud storage models or startups.
S3 Standard Infrequent Access. For backups and recovery.
S3 One Zone-Infrequent Access. For infrequently used data that you may need to access quickly at some point.
S3 Glacier. For long-term storage of infrequently accessed data.
Well, it's all there on the surface, but we'll tell you why it's cool anyway.
Almost all countries have services that only work with local IP addresses. Proxy for HTTP requests is an excellent workaround for cases where a remote service only works with specific IP addresses.
We’ve made it possible for you to choose any proxy and have it configured to your liking. The option is available directly in the HTTP request step in Scenarios.
These days, visual and browsing simplicity play an essential role when navigating the Web. We've updated both the mobile and desktop versions of the website to make them more aesthetically pleasing and easier to navigate without compromising performance. We're sure you'll appreciate all the eye candy.
We've also made the following changes to the website to make it even easier to learn how to build apps and choose the right tools for that:
A no-code academy? Yep, you heard that right. The crash course has 20 tutorials so far, with 5 more on the way. This is the perfect place to start learning the platform.
Confused by abbreviations like API, REST, and other unfamiliar terms? Our freshly baked glossary will help you break down the nuances.
